Hincu Monastery Tour

This is a very well-tended place. Do not hesitate to visit it.

This convent was erected by a Moldovan ruler for his daughter who decided to leave the ordinary world and live a religious life in a community. She became a nun, undertaking the name “Parascheva”. In the late 17th century the wooden church of St. Parascheva and its cells were frequently invaded by the Tartars. This is why, in such turbulent years the convent and its surroundings were desolate. Today the beauty of the Orthodox monument symbolizing the inviolability of the Orthodox faith became one of the most visited historical monuments and one of the leading churches of Moldova which attracts many tourists to come and enjoy the sight.
